Week 33 - Bowser by Maja Cronvall

"Yeah, I was suppose to finish this last week but got delayed since new plans came up and whatnot. I got to finish this today, I hope it won't be a problem. 

This time on  the theme was, Super Mario! I knew from the beginning I wanted to do something other than Mario or Peach, so Bowser came close to it. Then I really wanted to do something spooky about him...Yeah, I think I managed somehow to create that. LOL.

I actually also created this for the Video Game tent that was going to be at the yearly Festival in Malmö. It just seemed like a good fit.  Now I hope I can get it sold!

I almost didn't do a sketch for the latest theme here on Illustrious Bits. Week 33 was "any character from Super Marios Bros." and I totally forgot about it! Doh! I was able to sneak out this sketch of Princess Peach over the weekend though. I was told her name used to be Princess Toadstool, lol. I kinda like that better. It's funnier.

Week 33 - Hammer Bros by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

The theme was any character from Mario Bros, which I initially wasn't that excited about. But then I got this crazy idea to render the Hammer Bros with a slightly more realistic look. So this was banged out in a single session, and just kinda flowed. I ended up having a huge amount of fun with this concept. Whether it is any good or not... well, that's not for me to judge!

A drawing of Wario from the Mario Brothers game series.
Drawn for  for their 'Draw any Mario Brothers character' challenge.

I tried a LOT of new stuff here.
I am working on my cartoon art.
I am working on style matching in the drawing.
I am working on a new color style.

And I am pretty happy with how it all came out. And yes I know the coloring style it very realistic for a cartoon style. But since this IS a 3-D video game character that is rendered realistically in the game (ie. not flat or cell shaded) I figured I would give the colors a more realistic look.)
