Week 43 - Golem by Rich Bernatovech

"This week's theme on :iconillustriousbits: is "any Lord of the Rings character". I almost didn't get this one done, but found time to do this quick sketch of my favorite character from the series, Gollum! You gotta love him! lol.

Week 42 - Goon by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

The Goon is a book that is on my "to read" list this year. It's been on my radar even before the popular animated tests and Kickstarter project that was funded recently. I just love the designs in these books. Plus it's called "The Goon"; what better name than that!

Pencil on paper, inked with cool gray, warm gray, and black markers."

"This is the last of the core Sentinels team from :icondrumfishproductions: SENTINELS. I wanted to draw all of the main team using :iconlucianovecchio:'s revisioned designs and Crusher here is the finally one I had to do. I wanted to get him done in time for this week's theme on :iconillustriousbits: which was any Indy comicbook character. :)

Week 42 - Midnight Tiger by Dwayne Biddix

"Digital art: Dwayne Biddix
Drawn for :iconillustriousbits: weekly challenge. The challenge was ANY Indie comic character and I thought I could do no better than to do a quick drawing of my friend :iconrayheight:'s amazing character Midnight Tiger. He recently had a successful Kickstarter and is currently working away on the first issue and I know it is going to be amazing. So be sure to check it out! And support Ray, he is one of the greatest guys in comics.

Week 42 - Harlette by Rich Bernatovech

"The theme for week 42 over at :iconillustriousbits: is "any Independent Comic Book Character". I plan to do a few of these if I can, but thought I'd start it off doing one of the few remaining Sentinels members that I haven't done a headshot sketch of. Here is Harlette in her final costume look designed by :iconlucianovecchio:.

Week 41 - Aeon Flux by Rich Bernatovech

"This week's theme on :iconillustriousbits: is is Aeon Flux. I used to love the original animated series. The style was so bold and different and the movement of the characters was amazing. I considered drawing something with the infamous "fly in the eye" shot, but decided I wasn't quite feeling it.

Week 40 - Human Torch by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

The theme was any member of the Fantastic Four. While I did read quite a bit of Avengers, X-Men, etc, I never really got into the Fantastic Four. I could never quite grasp their appeal. That said, they are definitely some of the most important characters in the Marvel Universe. So I took a stab at the Human Torch, in all his fiery glory. But I learned something very important while doing so; I have no business trying to paint flames.

All Photoshop."

"Digital art: Dwayne Biddix
I know I have not been posting in some time but I have been working on my first issue of Crossed. So I was glad I had a bit of free time to do a quick drawing for :iconillustriousbits: draw challenge. This week was any member of the Fantastic 4 and I knew I had to do an Invisible Woman drawing.

Enjoy!

Week 39 - Lulu by Rich Bernatovech

"Just in the nick of time, here is my entry for this week's theme on :iconillustriousbits:. The theme for this week is any character from Final Fantasy. I honestly don't know anything about Final Fantasy, so I picked a character that I found interesting visually. This is Lulu is from Final Fantasy X and specializes in the art of Black Magic, using various dolls to help cast spells.

Week 39 - Rikku by Danielle Alexis St. Pierre

"This week over at :iconillustriousbits: is "Any Final Fantasy Character". I've never played the games (although after researching the characters I'd like to hehe) so I pretty much chose Rikku based on her look. I love her hair!!

While drawing this I feel like I got in touch with my inner anime fan (mostly in the face... especially how big I made the eyes). And you know what? I liked it! I may have to explore this style a little further. :D

Ok... back to coloring commissions.

Oh and yes, I know I left the sleeves off her outfit. I didn't realize it until after I was halfway finished with the inks.
My bad. :movingon:

Feel free to color my lineart. The only conditions are:
- Credit me for the original lineart (including a link to my deviantArt page)
- The lineart is for practice only! Do not sell or reproduce or post to another site.

Week 38 - Magik by Andrew Charipar

Emma Frost by Maja Cronvall

"So...This was really supposed to be for the re-visit week a while ago, but it's a week I completely missed out at uploading. So I thought I could be a tad bit sneaky and re-do some stuff and then upload it anyway!

This week at :iconillustriousbits: It's time for Chris Claremont characters. As lucky as I am, Emma Frost was also one of his creations, the same one I was doing for revisit week. Lucky me!

So here she is.
I don't know what else to write.
So enjoy!

Week 38 - Deathbird by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

The theme for my sketch group was any character created by Chris Claremont. So I decided to head into the Shi'ar mythology and pluck out Deathbird. I had fun with this one, as rendering her armor really allowed me to mix the cool and warm grays effectively. The armor details were fun, although the cabling got kind of tedious. I wanted her to have a smirk on her face that belied her true intentions, but I'm not sure I nailed it. In the end, it was an enjoyable piece.

Pencil on paper. Inked with warm gray, cool gray, and black markers."

Week 38 - Rouge by Rich Bernatovech

"Here is my last minute submission for this week 38's theme on Illustrious Bits. Originally, I planned to do my Classic X-Men collage for this, but I realized after I finished that Claremont did not create every character I drew. Luckily, I did all of the art in pieces and individually. :)
So, I decided to color Rogue and use her alone as my entry for week 38.
