Week 36 - Creature from the Black Lagoon by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

One of the themes I missed in my sketch group was "Any Movie Monster". So when the chance came up to catch-up on a topic, I got out my monster-hunting gear. I have always wanted to draw Gill-man; he's just so crazy looking. When searching for some reference, I found a production photo of Gill-man looming over Julie Adams. So I ran with that idea and this is what I ended up with. I am not satisfied with the level of contrast in the overall image. It feels a little too flat. Ah well, better luck next time.

Pencil on paper, then inked with warm gray, cool gray, and black markers."

Week 36 - Harley Quinn by Stephane De Caneva

":iconillustriousbits: week 36 : "Catch Up/Revisit - One week you have missed or want to revisit"

I initially drew this Harley Quinn for IllustriousBits week 14. However, I wasn't that confident in the result so I ended up never posting it...
In retrospect, it's not that bad, so here it is, thanks to the "Catch Up/Revisit" week :)"

Week 36 - Sailor Mars by Andrew Charipar

another missed opportunity... Sailor Mars from the Sailor Moon anime!

I had this one sketched out for the longest time and when I was falling behind on my 100 sketches in 100 days I simply finished this one up and walla... done.

Week 36 - Harley Quinn by Andrew Charipar

I completely missed Harley Quinn week but I still did a sketch, so now's the time to post it, whoo hoo!

The idea here was "what if Harley was a member of the Bat-Family?"  And this is what I came up with.

Week 36 - Future Faith by Gavin Michelli

"This one is for :iconillustriousbits: "catch-up" week. When I found out that I missed Buffy week, I was kinda miffed, because I used to be obsessed with that show. Thankfully, I've got this week to revisit ;) This is, I guess, future Faith: more experience, more wisdom, and WAY more tattoos!"

Week 36 - The Giant Claw by Dwayne Biddix

"Digital Art: Dwayne Biddix
Drawn for :iconillustriousbits: for the draw what you missed or want to revisit week. Well I missed a chance to do movie monsters. And I as talking to :iconbleedingheartworks: about what I should do and she linked me to a horrible old movie monster Called the Giant Claw. [link]
Well with Maja dying to see me draw it and my love of redesigning characters I gave it a shot. I updated the look and tried to make it more realistic and scary while staying as true to the campy original as I could.

Enjoy!

"My take on the X-Men's PIXIE which is this week's topic over on the :iconillustriousbits: group:

Week 35 (08/27 - 09/09) - Pixie from X-MEN

Played around a bit with the shape and number of her wings for fun and to give her a more unique look.

For anyone that would like you can click on the Download button for a slightly larger res version of the pic. As usual all I ask is credit for the lines and a link to check out your work if you decide to share it anywhere online, please."

Week 35 - Pixie by Randy Ostridge

"This image is for a weekly theme over at the Illustrious Bits sketch group.

Here we have Pixie, one of the more recent additions to the X-Men. As I'm out of the loop on the current storylines, I know very little about her. I tried messing around with a slightly different kind of colouring on this one. Not sure if it worked out or not.

All Flash."

Week 35 - Pixie by Maja Cronvall

"Hello everybody!
Just thought I could produce something else beside RS sheets and commissions. Here is Pixie for this week at :iconillustriousbits:

I really don't know much about Pixie, other than she's cute as hell and kind of looks badass at times, and that...Greg Land has drawn her a lot. Yeah. Pixie is nice.
I really wanted to show off the young woman in her. Big cheeks and puffy, pink hair. I like that. I rarely draw any marvel nor Xmen, so this is a nice change.

Enjoy!

Done with Markers and ink. Promarkers.

Week 35 - Pixie By Rich Bernatovech

The pick for this round on Illustrious Bits is Pixie from the X-Men. Not really my fav of characters, but I still like the way this one turned out. I used to like Pixie when she first appeared in New X-Men, but then they had her join the main X-Men team and they sexed her up. Seriously, she went from like a teen to a full grown woman in one issue. It was really bad. I decided to draw her in her original look because it was more unique and she didn't look like every other female out there.  :)
